The Secret World Is Being Reborn As Free-To-Play This Spring
The well-received MMO, The Secret World, is making the jump to Free-To-Play with a rebranding and an overhaul of many of the game's systems it's hoping to introduce the game to a new audience. Now called Secret World Legends, it will be playable from start to finish for free with every mission and mystery available for all players.
Changes are going to be made to the visuals of the game and how progression works but the biggest update will be to the combat system. Little is known about the exact changes but combat is said to feel more action-focused and immediate. Closer to what you'd expect from modern-day Action RPGs. The game itself is now referred to as a "Shared-World Action RPG" to indicate the change in focus.
There has been no official date for the transition other than Secret World Legends is coming this Spring. The Steam page for the game has already seen changes however.
