The Plucky Squire’s Latest Update Improves Pacing With New Gameplay Mode

Devolver Digital's charming action-adventure game The Plucky Squire is addressing player feedback about its sluggish pacing by introducing a brand-new gameplay mode in patch 1.15.1. In this latest update, players who’d like less hand-holding can now choose to play in Streamlined Mode, which has been designed with less dialogue and introduces other quality-of-life improvements. Now, players should be able to breeze through with fewer lulls in action. 

For example, Streamlined Mode offers an increased number of historical autosaves and has made it easier to access them from the menu. Dialogue has been trimmed, and camera events don’t interrupt gameplay as often.

Version 1.15.1 also comes with some bug fixes as well, such as improving collisions and fixing a soft lock in the credits.
