The Plucky Squire Chapter Two 100% All Art Scrolls, Glitchbirds, and Achievements (with Video)

If you're looking for the opportunity to 100% The Plucky Squire without much hassle, then we've got you covered! Tome Tower is home to one Glitchbird, five Art Scrolls, and one achievement (though the achievement can be acquired in other chapters at a later date).

Without further ado, let's begin with Chapter Two — Tome Tower.

Art Scroll #3: Concept - Character: Jot

The first collectible you'll find in Chapter Two — Tome Tower takes place after you've met up with Thrash and climbed down the mountain. The first time you encounter the rolling boulders that become 3D, in the page past that one where you meet the red bull and Thrash and Violet talk about Jot's clothes, you'll find the Art Scroll behind some trees.

Art Scroll #4: Concept - Character: Moonbeard

After completing the puzzle with the cat Topsy, you'll be able to go to the next screen, where you can find Martina; this will be the first time you won't have enough light bulbs to purchase everything she has. Be careful and ensure to prioritise purchasing the Art Scroll first (as you should every time you meet Martina) before you get the abilities and upgrades.

Art Scroll #5: Concept - Character: Pip

Immediately after the previous page, where you find Martina, the world will randomly shift to nighttime. Here, you should go to the bottom-left tree; it should be sparkling, and after hitting it, you'll get the Art Scroll for this section. It's also the way the game teaches you that glowing objects in the world can sometimes yield Art Scrolls.

Glitchbird #2

Again, immediately after the previous page containing Art Scroll #5, you'll be able to find the second Glitchbird of the game! Once enemies have begun spawning from the strange, green electricity, you'll soon reach a round, arena-like section with a massive boulder in the middle that seems to take place in ruins. After fighting off the foes, make sure you do not jump off the cliff, as otherwise, you'll lock out the Glitchbird (if you do this, just restart the game, as you should be able to load an earlier save).

Instead, go to the top-right, where you'll find a large ruin wall, and you can actually go behind it to reveal the hidden Glitchbird behind!

Art Scroll #6: Concept - Area - Fairy Forest

Once you've ventured into the Impassable Cave 2D section, you should arrive out the other side of the river where you met Page the Bookworm. Here, you'll find Martina, who will sell you the second Art Scroll of this Chapter! Again, make sure you are prioritising purchasing Art Scrolls rather than the upgrades, as by this point, you are still pretty limited in the number of light bulbs you have.

Art Scroll #7: Concept - Area - Candy Land

This is the final Art Scroll of Chapter Two — Tome Tower! You'll reach a puzzle section where you need to play with words; you should instantly recognise it by the keywords "THESE BOOKS HAD BEEN PURPOSEFULLY STACKED" and a lot of books scattered around the page. At the far left side of the page, you should find the Art Scroll hidden behind a massive stack, and you can squeeze in perfect by hugging the ruin wall at the top!

Achievement: Optimistic Explorer

This is the final collectible of the Chapter — if you have not faced Humgrump by this time, make sure you get there to avoid spoilers.

Done? Good! Once Humgrump has yeeted you out of The Plucky Squire book, you'll be at your first 3D section, where you can jump down from the desk. I'll admit — in the video, I forgot all about Optimistic Explorer, but this is the first time that you can take the plunge and get the achievement, and you'll get a load of other opportunities to do it if you missed it! After that, you can safely enjoy the rest of the Chapter without worrying about any additional collectibles.
