The Plucky Squire Chapter Nine 100% All Art Scrolls, Glitchbirds, and Achievements (with Video)

If you're looking for the opportunity to 100% The Plucky Squire without much hassle, then we've got you covered! We already have specific guides for the Art Scrolls and the Glitchbirds, which are ordered by Chapters and when you come across them. These guides are meant to be a 100% guide for a Chapter-per-Chapter approach, in case you want to follow along and not miss out on things (especially since missing one of the Glitchbirds will force you to replay the whole game for completion).

Chapter Nine — The Magnificent Humgrump is home to two Glitchbirds, nine Art Scrolls, and eight achievements.

Without further ado, let's begin with Chapter Nine — The Magnificent Humgrump.

Glitchbird #9

The first collectible you'll be able to get is the ninth Glitchbird! After escaping through the vents and being saved by Pip from the warm and enticing beam, you'll be able to head into the control room and go past it, where you'll find the ninth Glitchbird behind a hidden wall! The final Glitchbird will not make an appearance until the end of the game.

Art Scroll #42: Story Test

The first Art Scroll of this Chapter takes place at the complete and utter dead end. Instead of heading to the left, where you'll be able to continue your journey, go right, where you'll find the Art Scroll, where you'll find a Humgrumpian lounge area with a pizza box and an Art Scroll right below!

Art Scroll #43: Concept - Area - Jail

After reaching the whizzing belt, you'll be forced to go to the 3D section in order to find all of your equipment. This section is home to three Art Scrolls; if this is your first guide (hi!), then I will make the same warning I've done in the others: follow the guide closely, as the 3D sections are locked away after being completed, and you'll lock away all of the Art Scrolls with them, forcing you to replay up to this point in order to be able to get them.

This section is rather large, but the Art Scrolls don't begin appearing until after you've recovered your Tilt Gloves. Feel free to continue without worry, as there aren't any collectibles or missable things on your path to the first Art Scroll. After you've acquired the Tilt Gauntlets, go to the far right, where you'll find some paint WaterCOLOR droppers blocking the path to the first Art Scroll.

Art Scroll #44: Concept - Character: Humgrump

The second Art Scroll is pretty soon after the previous one, and it's also pretty unmissable. When you arrive at one of the final sections, where you'll have to fight Sam's beetles, you'll be presented with a cutscene that shows you the location of the Art Scroll for this section — there are no tricks, just defeat the enemies and get your Art Scroll.

Art Scroll #45: First Sketches 3

This was the Art Scroll I missed in this section. After acquiring all of your equipment, you'll be able to go down and back up to The Plucky Squire book. Don't go up yet, and instead, continue down the path that you went, past the 10th-year birthday card and head left, where you can find two paint containers that you can go between.In here, you have to break two cardboard trees, and it'll reveal the location of the final Art Scroll in this 3D section (meaning you can relax and start playing the game leisurely, as you should be able to return to most other Art Scrolls henceforth!).

Achievement and Art Scroll #46: Bust Buster / Concept - The Dark Desk

Back in the book, you'll arrive at a section where you have to play around with metal crates to find the key to the next location. On the far right of this page, you can find a diamond bust of Humgrump... which we're going to need to destroy!

After finding the word Broken, you'll be able to apply it to the Diamond Bust, which you'll be able to break with the Bomb Stamp by going back to the 3D world and planting a bomb right. After blowing it up, you'll get the achievement Bust Buster and find the 46th Art Scroll!

Art Scroll #47: First Sketches 4

This Art Scroll is immediately after you save Thrash from his cell. On the next page, you'll find Martina, who will sell you the Art Scroll for 20 light bulbs. There is still one more Martina encounter after this, which is your last chance to get both the Powerful Jot achievement by upgrading everything and the final Art Scroll that you'll have to buy, so make sure you get as many light bulbs as you can. If you've been farming a lot of light bulbs, you should be able to finish the Powerful Jot achievement by this point.

Art Scroll #48: Key Art - Concept 1

In the puzzle where you'll find the Metamagic pipe, you'll find an explodable metal block that will contain this Art Scroll! The Metamagic portal is just below the pipe, and you'll be able to use the Bomb Stamp to set it free, but don't complete the puzzle until after you've grabbed the scroll; it won't lock it away, but it'll add additional, unnecessary steps!

Achievement: WRETCHED RODENT!!!

This achievement is unmissable. At this point, you will have been sneaking around as Pip past the Humgrump soldiers; after completing the last one, which happens shortly after recovering Thrash, you'll get the achievement automatically!

Achievement and Art Scroll #49: Powerful Jot / Key Art - Concept 2

It's here! This is where you'll find the final Martina encounter. Make sure you spend all of your light bulbs and clean out her inventory. Once done, you should get the Powerful Jot achievement, and you'll be one Art Scroll away from finishing the Art Scroll collectibles.

Achievement and Art Scroll #50: Art Collector / Key Art - Final

At the monumentally majestic Palace of Humgrump, you'll find the final Art Scroll in the middle tree to the far right! Once done, you should get the Art Collector achievement (if you've gathered all of the ones thus far!) and finished your journey to acquiring all of the Art Scrolls.

Achievement and Glitchbird #10: Saviour of the Glitchbirds

The final Glitchbird takes place inside of the monumentally majestic Palace of Humgrump (sorry, it's legally required for us to call it that every time). To the far right of the pipes, hidden behind one of the large metal valves, you'll find the final Glitchbird of the adventure, netting you the Saviour of the Glitchbirds achievement!

Achievements: Triumphant Squire / Story Complete / Adventure Complete

This is the end of the entire run! The remaining achievements are all dependent on you finishing the final boss fight and playing the game in Adventure difficulty! After you fight Humgrump at the desk and gun him down, you'll acquire the Triumphant Squire achievement, and after the credits and final cutscene, you'll get both Story Complete and Adventure Complete if you are in the right difficulty.
