The Plane Effect Will Have You Questioning Reality

Games have a unique ability to bring surreal dreamscapes to life in a way that no other medium can. Take, for example, The Plane Effect from Studio Kiku and Innovina Interactive, which thrusts players into a dystopian cityscape where reality is paper thin and individual identity is toyed with like files on a PC.

Meet Solo, the game's office worker protagonist on his last day at work. He's clocking out, gathering his belongings and heading out of that wide-open office door on the way to freedom, on the way to his family. He does have a family, right? A home? A life?

As Solo traverses the treacherous city streets searching for his way home, facing the unreality that surrounds him with what scraps of logic he can conjure up, he'll uncover a malevolent force which lurks in the shadowy corners of his world. Perhaps prevailing over this force will help our hero recall what reality used to mean for him. It's worth a try... isn't it?

The Plane Effect will release at an unannounced date on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Steam
