The Outer Worlds Releasing on Nintendo Switch
After releasing on other platforms late last year, Obsidian Entertainment is now releasing its latest action-RPG The Outer Worlds for Nintendo Switch, with help from Virtuous Games and Private Division.
Set in a fictional future where mega-corporations rule the galaxy, players control an Earth resident who has been abruptly awoken from cryosleep and shoved head first into a conflict involving numerous different factions, each with their own idealistic goals and philosophies.
In a similar vein to the recent Fallout titles (a franchise that developers from Obsidian helped create with their previous studio Black Isle Studios), The Outer Worlds is a first-person RPG, where players can build a character to suit a variety of different situations. For example, a player could create a character built to be more of a silver-tongued smooth talker, who can converse their way out of any given situation, while others may want to put their focus into creating a more combat oriented character.
The title received favourable reviews, and was also nominated for numerous Game of the Year awards across many different outlets.
The Outer Worlds will be sold for £49.99/$59.99 both physically and digitally. However, the physical boxed release will only include a download code for the game. The Outer Worlds will release on Nintendo Switch on 6th March, 2020.
