The Outbound Ghost Developer Releases Several Statements Against Publisher
Edit 09/12/2022: Digerati has posted an official statement on their Twitter, where Sarah Alfieri, the owner of Digerati, appears on a 2-minute video talking about the situation with Conradical Games and the termination of the contract. That said, the statement ends with Sarah Alfieri mentioning that Digerati still wishes to work with Conradical Games to release good versions of The Outbound Ghost.

Original 09/12/2022
The Outbound Ghost, a charming Paper Mario-esque title released by Conradical Games, has been removed from Steam by the developer after the game was placed at a 25% discount against their will.
The controversy started when Digerati, the videogame publisher for The Outbound Ghost, released a ported version that was not up to the developer's standards without their consent. After receiving numerous angry messages, the developer released their first statement regarding the Nintendo Switch port.

I am so incredibly disappointed and I will do everything in my power to do what's right.

Six days afterwards, the developer released a second statement about The Outbound Ghost going on an unauthorised sale on Steam at a 25% discount, where they said that control of their game has been taken from them and is looking to take appropriate action.

Several days have passed since the original two statements, in which Digerati has not addressed the situation directly but instead commented on The Outbound Ghost's state in console releases on the 8th of December, promising that the patch for the Nintendo Switch version is under review by Nintendo.

On the same day, Conradical Games released a statement on their Twitter about The Outbound Ghost, losing control of their project, dissatisfaction with the publisher, and claiming that their relationship has "dissolved" with Digerati. This short video addresses the state of the game, how Kickstarter backers will receive their rewards, additional compensation, discouraging everyone from purchasing the game from available storefronts, and even urging those dissatisfied to return the game. Conradical Games mentions that the state of the console release is only the start of their unfortunate encounters with Digerati and that they are seeking proper legal action to be able to reattain control of their project and self-publish.

As of the 8th of December, The Outbound Ghost's Steam page has been changed entirely by Conradical Games — although it is still up for purchase, the title, description, and latest news have the message "This game is no longer authorized by the developer." Additionally, all images, the developer, and the publisher have been removed entirely.
We have reached out to both Digerati and Conradical Games in hopes of getting a statement and will update this article when we receive an answer.
