The Major Version 1.2 Update of the System Shock Remake is Available Now!
System Shock, and it's sequel, were pivotal games in the sci-fi action genre that inspired many modern titles, such as the Bioshock franchise, but do to it's age and incompatibility with modern tech, it was left unexperienced by many. This hole in our videogame education was thankfully fixed by the System Shock Remake released last year. Now, with the release of version 1.2, there's even more to experience in this reborn classic!
The newest content update comes with two major additions: a revised ending and a female playable character. While the details of the ending are unknown (though we wouldn't tell even if we knew), the final confrontation with the rogue AI, SHODAN, will feature enhanced enemy behaviour as well as some new fancy attacks! Additionally, players can now select between a male and female-presenting Hacker Protagonist!
In addition to the major features, other smaller tweaks such as improvements, balances and fixes.
System Shock Remake version 1.2 is available now on PC, with the console port of the game coming 21st May.
