The Loot Cave is Dead, Long Live the Loot Cave

In the latest hotfix patch notes, Bungie has announced that the infamous "loot cave" of Destiny is no more.

The Hive of the holy “Treasure Cave” have realized the futility of their endless assault on Skywatch and have retired to lick their wounds and plan their next attack.

Bungie have admitted that the number of economy breaking exploits were "humbling" and that hotfix 5 is aimed at mitigating the number and effectiveness of them.

Alongside that, the drop rate of engrams following a hard wipe has been reduced, Queen's Wrath gear will no longer provide ascendant materials, but missions will continue to drop Legendary items, and a number of respawn timers have been increased.

Of course, this hasn't stopped PS4 Trophies finding a whole new Legendary spawn point to exploit.
