The Last Of Us Wins a Writing Prize
The Last Of Us has scooped up an Outstanding Achievement in Videogame Writing from the Writers Guild of America, beating out hefty competition.
The nominees it won against were;
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag
Batman: Arkham Origins
God of War: Ascension
Lost Planet 3
The Assassin's Creed series has won the prize twice previously, for Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation in last year and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood back in 2011. Naughty Dog, however is no stranger to the prize, having won for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in 2010 and 2012 respectively.
This is the first prize which The Last Of Us has won that was created by a non-videogame-related organisation.
