The Last of Us Remastered is in October’s Free PlayStation Plus Games
During the recent State of Play presentation, October 2019’s PlayStation Plus freebies were announced: The Last of Us Remastered and MLB The Show 2019.
As the title implies, The Last of Us Remastered is a remastered version of Naughty Dog’s 2013 blockbuster release. In The Last of Us, players control Joel, a survivor of the 20-year long apocalypse that started due to a fungal infection that controls its host. Throughout the game, Joel is tasked with escorting the rebellious teenager Ellie to a group called the Fireflies, with Ellie being immune to the virus and supposedly being the cure to the infection. The Last of Us Remastered also includes a prequel story titled The Last of Us: Left Behind, where players are put in control of a slightly younger Ellie as it explores her relationship with her friend Riley.
MLB The Show 19 is the latest instalment in the worlds biggest baseball video game franchise. The game lets fans relive the biggest moments in the history of the MLB baseball league, as well as providing one of the most authentic baseball experiences around. MLB The Show 19 received favourable reviews upon its release, with most critics stating that it’s a high point in the 14 year long franchise.
Both The Last of Us Remastered and MLB The Show 19 will be available for free from 1st October to 4th November for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
