The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima Both Have New Release Dates
PlayStation 4’s swansong exclusives, The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima, have both received new release dates in the wake of The Last of Us Part II’s recent video and story leaks that have popped up online.
Announcement comes by way of a post on PlayStation.Blog from Hermen Hulst, the Sony Worldwide Studios Head himself. The post reads:
"As our teams at Sony Interactive Entertainment and Worldwide Studios approach development milestones and confront a world changed by COVID-19, we find ourselves having to adapt to today’s ever-changing environment. Amidst some disruptions to our working styles, we wanted to provide an update to PlayStation gamers who are eager to learn when our next exclusive titles will arrive to PlayStation 4.
As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II will arrive on 19th June. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on 17th July"
This means that Ghost of Tsushima has been pushed back one month from its initially planned 26th June release date, while The Last of Us Part II has also only moved back a month, despite the title initially being delayed indefinitely.
The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima are both set to release exclusively on PlayStation 4.
