The Last Hero of Nostalgaia Launches in 2022

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia which will be published by Coatsink and developed by Over The Moon was announced during the ID@Xbox Twitch Showcase. Planned for release in 2022, it's been said to be a satirical action-adventure game. What do I mean by saying?

The announcement trailer is filled with comedy and a mixture of pixelated and 3D graphics. Of course, that's done on purpose. Nostalgaia is the world of videogames, and it's collapsing backwards. As everything begins to crumble and fade around you, everything you once cherished about video games will be lost. But, there is a hero who will spawn and save everyone! Granted, this hero is also the most hideous and pixelated one to ever emerge. As you fight through the mindless inhabitants of Nostalgaia, you'll be jeered on by a cynical narrator who would probably prefer your own death.

No doubt, The Last Hero of Nostalgaia has been described as a love letter to Dark Souls and its community by Over The Moon CEO, Jon Warner. While it is no doubt a game with deep roots in its genre, he describes it as an entirely new experience.
