The Last Guardian Has Gone Gold

The Last Guardian Has Gone Gold

It's been a long run for The Last Guardian, since it's announcement in 2007 the successor to Ico has finally hit the magic milestone of "going gold".

Shuhei Yoshida the President of Worldwide Studios at Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced via twitter that The Last Guardian went gold on the 22nd of October.

This leads us to believe that it is well on the way to hitting its 6th of December release date, and we can hear PS4 owners drooling from here.

This is when we find out Sony have bought the rights to the phrase 'Gone Gold' and changed it to mean 'been delayed'.

Finally, both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are wonderful games, I can't wait to play Ueda's third and perhaps final entry in his quirky, emotional series.

I guess I need to buy a PS4 now...

It's been a long time coming, hopefully it'll be worth it :)
