The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Releases Worldwide
Capcom’s The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles was released digitally for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on 27th July. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles includes the formerly Japanese exclusive Ace Attorney games The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and its sequel The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles follows Ryunosuke Naruhodo, an aspiring defence attorney and ancestor of famed videogame lawyer Phoenix Wright, his legal aide Susato Mikotoba, and the great London detective Herlock Sholmes as they solve court-related mysteries in both Victorian England and Meiji Period Japan during the late 19th century. The collection features 10 cases and eight side stories, known as Escapades, as well as costumes, galleries, and a new Story Mode option that lets the game take over for the player.
The collection also features two gameplay mechanics new to the Ace Attorney series, “Dance of Deduction” and “Summation Examination,” alongside classic series gameplay. “Dance of Deduction” sees the player, as Naruhodo, correct Sholmes’ deductions while simultaneously having a pose off with him. Meanwhile, “Summation Examination” has the player point out inconsistencies in jurors’ statements while pitting them against each other.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam standalone and as part of the Ace Attorney Turnabout Collection alongside Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy. Copies bought before 31st August will include the “From The Vaults” Early Purchase Bonus, which contains never-before-seen art and music.
