The Forest To Get Significant Update

The Forest, an open world survival horror game set in...a forest, is getting a massive new update tomorrow at 4pm PDT. Some of the new features in patch V0.18 include:

• Foundation destruction system! Foundations can sustain a certain amount of damage up until the point they will completely collapse.
• Building destruction system! Smaller buildings like walls collapse at once and bigger ones can lose whole chunks before collapsing.
• Building explosion system! Small buildings like built fires are instantly blown apart but bigger ones like log cabins lose bits and suffer damage.
• Building repair system! Costs one tree sap to repair all damages done to your building (will eventually increase this amount once balanced).
• More of world opened up/developed.
• New background mountains added (replacing old green mountains).

There are over a 100 new updates in total, from improved lighting and textures in certain areas to brand new audio for the cannibalistic mutants. For the full list of updates, head on over to the official website.
