The Fifth Day Development Progress Update
It's been a while since the last update - October, specifically - so developer Touz has explained what's going on with his robot-based survival game The Fifth Day.
He starts off explaining that the project is still ongoing, the only delay has been that he is a lone developer and wants each patch to be worthwhile. To that end, he lists what is going on with the next patch:
Implemented:
Added loads of new inventory, including weapons, tools, and crafting parts.
Redesigned old models and textures for a more realistic and worn feel that better fits the environment.
Redesigned constructable parts to fit with the new construction system.
Added loot-able containers to the world.
Left to do:
Re-balance loot spawning.
Tweak physics parameters for the new physics based construction system.
Clean up multiplayer performance.
He has also implemented a new UI as well as procedural weapon generation - this means you can take weapons apart and recombine them.
We'll keep you updated on updates.
