The Evil Within Release Date Announced

The Evil Within, the latest horror offering from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, has had its release date confirmed. It will hit North America on the 26th August and Europe on the 29th August.

The game will be the first release by Mikami founded Tango Gameworks, which was later acquired by ZeniMax Media.

The Evil Within follows Detective Sebastian Castellanos facing a mysterious and powerful force which begins to slaughter his colleagues. After being knocked out, he awakens in "a deranged world where hideous creatures wander among the dead."

The title will be released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
