The Evil Within Goes Gold

Bethesda has announced through its blog that The Evil Within has went gold and is ready to be shipped with Bethesda saying:

Congrats to everyone at Tango Gameworks and everyone else that was involved in the process of making the game — your hard work has helped create a survival horror game that we believe people will be talking about for a long time.

Shinji Mikami, the creator of Resident Evil is helming the project and this fact alone should warrant sufficient attention from fans of the survival horror genre.

The game was originally meant to launch in August 2014 but was unfortunately delayed, although the extra time spent on the game will allow for a better quality product. 

The Evil Within is attempting to bring survival horror back to its roots and hopefully the game will succeed in doing so, with the release date being October 14th in Europe it's not long until we find out.
