The Eagle Box Gives a new Lease of Life to Your old Games
There have been a few attempts to get Android under the television. Some, such as Google’s own Android TV system, have been very successful. There have been some less successful attempts such as the Ouya. All of these systems have one thing in common though, they are all an attempt to play new games on the big screen.
FunstockRetro.co.uk, the retailer known for their selection of retro gaming merchandise, have started selling a new console called the Eagle Box. This box will help you play your older games on a newer TV.
The Eagle Box is a tiny Android Console paired with a wireless controller. It connects to your TV using HDMI and has instant access to thousands of your favourite retro games thanks to pre-installed emulators. It is also pre-installed with popular Android TV and Movie apps as well as coming with full access to the Google Play store.
General Manager of Funstock.co.uk, Andy Pearson told us:
"Our goal with Funstock is to continue to find the most exciting new products out there that give you 'new ways to enjoy old games'. This new console is a perfect fit for that, combining cutting edge Android 'plug and play' technology with instant access to an extensive archive of classic retro games. It has a very simple interface and can be infinitely expanded with either SD card or USB hard drive"
