The Developers of Shadow Gambit: Cursed Crew, Mimimi Studios, Say Goodbye

Having completed their latest title, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, studio Mimimi Games has decided the time is right to take a breath: In a new update on their site, the studio has announced that the latest game will be the last title the studio will develop, with the studio ramping down in the coming months. It's not all bad news, however, as the studio has promised to fully support Shadow Gambit regardless of this decision.

The closing of the studio is due to many factors, but both finances and health can be seen as large influences. In the current situation in the gaming sphere, with development costs rising, the genre of choice for Mimimi Games is not financially stable, making each new title a risk. Additionally, since the studio's title The Last Tinkerer in 2011, the Managing Directors admit to having little to no downtime, which has affected their personal lives. While it is a shame to see such a promising studio close up, we can only respect the decisions Mimimi studios has made.

During their 15 years of active development, Mimimi has developed titles such as Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and its standalone expansion, Aiko's Choice, and Desperados III.
