The Case of Charles Dexter Ward Kickstarter Launches
New England author Howard Phillips Lovecraft only wrote one full length novel with the title The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. Now Argentinian developer Senscape have announced that they have negotiated the licence for the title as an adventure game positively dripping with tenebrous horrors and elder things.
Written in 1927, the original novel tells the tale of young Charles Ward, a student who become obsessed with his ancestor Joseph Curwen and wackiness of the most horrific kind does most certainly ensue.
Senscape have negotiated not only the use of the name of H.P. Lovecraft, but also the novel itself as an adventure game and are now looking for funding through Kickstarter.
Backer levels from $1 to $10,000 are available, with the big hitters getting a two day junket around Providence, the game in a big Infogrammes style box, a t-shirt, a producer credit, and getting to see the filming of a documentary on dear old H.P by the name of The Shadow Over Providence amongst many other fun things.
If you know what eldritch horrors lurk in the fathomless depths of space, where elder gods scheme and black things dance. Maybe you'll head on over and give them a few bucks. Yog-Sothoth would no doubt wish it so.
