The Blue Mage Joins Final Fantasy XIV

Following the announcement of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida and CEO and President of Square Enix Yosuke Matsude took to the stage to introduce the newest job for the title. The Blue Mage. 

The upcoming expansion will be getting multiple new jobs but the Blue Mage is not coming in the new expansion but rather releasing as part of the 4.5 patch. Being called a "Limited Job" the Blue Mage is not connected with a class. Monster actions are 'learned' from fights rather than leveling up a character meaning the Blue Mage needs to get right into the thick of it. 

A Blue Mage only duty will also get added in the upcoming 4.5 patch entitled "The masked Carnival" and the level cap for the job will be set at 50 for the time being. As patches for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers are released the level cap will increase along with new abilities for the Blue Mage being added as well.
