The Bard's Tale IV Announced
Not to be confused with The Bard's Tale from 2004, which was completely seperate, The Bard's Tale was a series of three games released for the Apple II, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and many other platforms. At the time they were praised for their 3D graphics and almost knocked Ultima from the top of the RPG list.
The last that was heard from the series was The Bard's Tale Trilogy released for DOS in 1990, and a series of eight novels produced throughout the '90s.
But now it's coming back!
It's official.. And I'm very personally excited to be working on this. More details to follow. pic.twitter.com/OegeiAU28B

Of course, few details have come out, but Brian Fargo, of InXile Entertainment, has said it is a proper sequel returning to Skara Brae, unlike the other InXile Entertainment The Bard's Tale. It will be funded by Kickstarter campaign and feature influences from the original game.
2015 is also the 30th anniversary of Tales of the Unknown: Volume I The Bard's Tale making this announcement even more timely.
