The Banner Saga - Pre-order Bonus Pack

Stoic are offering a bonus pack entitled "The Insane Viking Pack" to anyone who pre orders The Banner Saga.

The pack includes a bonus character, Tryggvi, an unstable trouble maker with a boost in combat. You will also get a copy of three exclusive tracks from the game's score, composed by Austin Wintory.

The Banner Saga is a crowd funded game produced by Stoic. The original idea was to raise $100,000 to produce a mature, story-driven, turn-based strategy game steeped in viking culture, by three game industry veterans.

On Kickstarter the game was pitched as:

a role-playing game merged with turn-based strategy, wrapped into an adventure mini-series about vikings.

 

Travel through stunning landscapes straight out of an animated film. Battle painstakingly hand-animated foes in strategic, turn-based combat harkening back to the classic "Tactics" days of gaming. Make decisions with consequences in conversations with people you'll truly care about.

 

And throughout the whole thing record the history of your people on your banner where it will be remembered, because soon there might not be anything left.

The Banner Saga is a mature game aimed at gamers who appreciate art, story and strategy. The support for the project was so overwhelming that over 723,000 was raised and the game has grown far beyond original expectations.
