The Ashlands Emerge into Public Playtesting in the New Valheim Trailer!

Valheim, the Viking-themed survival title, has received many updates since its original release. Each new area is hotly anticipated and adds a ton of content! The latest area to be added, the Ashlands, has now officially made it to Public Testing, available to those who dare face the new scaldingly hot biome.

If you decide to join in the fun, you can download the Public Test branch on Steam
by right-clicking Valheim in your Steam library, and then selecting ‘Properties’. In the new window, select ‘Betas’ and type in the code “yesimadebackups”. Please remember to do as the code says, though. For the Microsoft store or Game Pass, launch the Xbox Insider Hub app. Navigate to ‘Previews’, and then find ‘Valheim Public Test’. Select ‘Join’. Wait for the registration to be complete to be directed to the Store and then install ‘Valheim Public Test’.

Though we won't go into extreme details, some of the new additions you can look forward to are: on the equipment side, a plethora of 30+ weapons to wield have been added, in addition to new bombs and ammunition to aim and three new armour sets (plus two capes!). The more architecturally minded will be pleased to hear there are 70+ new buildable items, five crafting station upgrades, and new materials and foods to try out!

Finally, you will find over 10 new creatures to fight while you enjoy the new locations, music, events, and mechanics! Will you be one of the first brave the ashes?
