Team17 Cancels MetaWorms NFT
Team17 has announced that the company will be ending the MetaWorms NFT Project.
After negative backlash from both fans and developers that had worked with the publishers before, Team17 released a statement on Twitter announcing that the project would be cancelled.

Team17 had been the latest of a long line of companies joining the NFT craze. However, soon after the announcement, the company received negative backlash from a lot of companies, as the charge was led by AGGRO CRAB in their twitter.

Soon after, Playtonic followed suit with its own tweet regarding the situation, begging readers to please tread carefully whenever speaking to staff members that have been unwittingly affected by impromptu announcements.

We agree with Playtonic, in that you should not send abuse via social media (or ever, really), as the people deciding that a company should use NFTs are not the same as those running the social media accounts.
