Teaching Ethics with Telltale's The Walking Dead
Along with its massive critical acclaim and over 90 Game of the Year awards, Telltale's The Walking Dead can now boast itself as a successful educational tool, as a high school in Norway is using the game to teach ethics.
The Nordahl Grieg High School has been using the game in an ethics class for a number of weeks in the hope that the game's focus on moral dilemmas and fast decision making will spark debate in the students.
Teachers and students alike have described the move as a success. Either way, playing The Walking Dead in class is probably a lot more engaging than playing Number Munchers.
Above is a news bulletin covering the situation in a lot more detail containing interviews with both the teacher and some students. It's in Norwegian so you'll need to turn on the captions.
