Synth Riders' Multiplayer Receives a Shake-Up With the Latest "Power-Up" Update
Kluge Interactive has released another update for its VR rhythm game Synth Riders, bringing kart racing-style power-ups to its multiplayer offering. Take a look at several Synth Riders content creators letting loose with the power-ups in the trailer above.
The update brings nine power-ups to the game's multiplayer: seven attacks and two boosts. Kluge Interactive highlights "Embiggen", which will turn players' notes into beach balls, making them easier to hit; "Warp", which makes opponents' notes approach at a lightning-fast speed; and "Invaders", which sends a flurry of projectiles to target enemy players. Power-up effects can stack too, making multiplayer matches a potential for sheer VR chaos (in a good way).
The Power-Up update for Synth Riders is out now on Steam, Oculus Quest (cross-buy with Rift), and Viveport.
