Surprise! Red Dead Redemption 2 Has Two Discs
The upcoming cowboy epic that is Red Dead Redemption 2 has been confirmed to come with two discs.
The information first came from the Japanese box art, published by GamesTalk.net, which showed a small symbol on the back noting the second disc. Since then fans have been trying to find confirmation that this was indeed true and if so, what the second disc would be for.
Now, thanks to Canadian YouTuber KOFI, it has been confirmed that the title does indeed ship with two discs and that the second disc is a 'Data Disc' with the other being a 'Play Disc'. Given that the title requires around about 100GB of install space it is no surprise that the developer has opted for this method of installation.
Last thing I’m going to speak on since people are just dying to know. Red Dead Redemption 2 does have a double disc. The first disc is a “Data Disc” and the second is a “Play Disc”. Probably have to just install first disc. Game does come with a map which I will not share. pic.twitter.com/VnIq2HF8zf

Let's just hope there is not a day one patch as well that needs to be downloaded.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is on 26th October for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
