Super Smash Bros 3DS joins the one million club.
Nintendo Japan announced that Super Smash Bros for 3DS has reached over one million copies during its first week of release. These figures are from the first two days that the game has been available making it quite an impressive feat. The sales include both physical and digital copies but it is unknown as to whether the figures indicate actual sales or units shipped to retailers. We can assume however that with the popularity of the series one million sales isn't an unrealistic prediction.
Previous 3DS games to reach one million sales include Pokemon X/Y, Monster Hunter 4 and Youkai Wacth 2. It will be interesting to see how the Wii U version of the game fares with the handheld release coming before it.
