Super Meat Boy Forever Gameplay Shown in Franchise's 10th Anniversary Livestream

The sequel to Super Meat Boy, a classic of the 'Xbox Live Arcade' era of indie games, is almost here. In the franchise's 10th anniversary livestream, viewers were granted an in-depth look at the upcoming Super Meat Boy Forever (hopefully no relation to the other long-awaited sequel that harboured the same subtitle). Take a look at the full livestream above.

What's new in this sequel? Well, a lot, but most evidently, randomly-generated worlds comprised of thousands of hand-crafted levels. It's a slightly confusing mix of random-generation and bespoke content, but hopefully it'll fulfil its potential and result in a near-endlessly replayable platformer.

Super Meat Boy Forever will release on Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC "when it's ready". If any indie developer has earned the right to that statement, it's Team Meat!
