Summer Game Fest 2024: Wanderstop

Annapurna Interactive and Ivy Road have come together to present their upcoming cozy title, Wanderstop! This narrative-driven game about change and tea will have us play as Alta, a fallen fighter who is now in charge of a tea shop in the magical forest and makes sure every customer gets taken care of. Unfortunately, she’s not very happy being here: in fact, she’d only feel at home in the midst of battle, not as a docile shopkeeper. Still, she’ll wake up and clean up, decorate, and listen to the travelers who pass through… or will she?

Wanderstop includes some recognisable figures some might recognise from other games, such as Davey Wreden from The Stanley Parable and The Beginner’s Guide, and Karla Zimonja, the co-creature of Gone Home and Tacoma! And for Minecraft fans, Daniel “C418” Rosenfeld, otherwise known as the game’s composer.
