Summer Game Fest 2022: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) Reveals Gameplay Trailer

Developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision revealed a new gameplay trailer for upcoming first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) during the first day of Summer Game Fest 2022 on 9th June. The nineteenth instalment in the Call of Duty game series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) serves as a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), a reboot of the original 2007 game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) is set to release on 28th October this year.

Along with the trailer came the announcements of new characters, returning characters from Task Force 141, reimagined characters from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare sub-series, and enrolment in open beta for those that pre-order the game.

“First of all, we’re really excited to welcome back Captain John Price and Gaz Garrick,” said Jeff Negus, Cinematics Lead at Infinity Ward. “They’re returning members from 141. And then the other two characters that you may recognize from the older franchise that we are reimagining are Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley and, of course, ‘Soap’ John MacTavish.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) will be available on 28th October for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
