Stikbold! Available This Spring On Consoles, PC

In 2015, we saw several titles that took sports and turned them on their head, and not just released but be well received. Games such as Rocket League and #IDARB to name a couple came out of oblivion and now have almost a cult following. Reign Bros. and Curve Digital is hoping to continue that trend, introducing Stikbold!.

According to Martin Petersen, Reign Bros' Game Designer in a post on the Playstation Blog, Stikbold! is name of a Scandinavian folk game, that most of us would know as dodgeball. Depending where one might play the game, rules maybe a little different from place to place. Stikbold! takes those variations to the extreme.

Watching the announcement trailer will show this, as characters are flown all across and some even beyond the screen once they are struck with all sorts of objects. It takes on a bit of a violent side, when a van shows up on the court. Locations alone, you can play in a public park to oil rigs. Eighteen different characters are available to unlock playing in with a story mode, co-op, or solo mode.

In co-op mode, getting hit with the ball doesn't necessarily mean the game is over. The player can come back as a swan, sand shark or many other items to help affect the outcome of the game.

Stikbold! is schedule to be released on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC/Mac this Spring.
