Steam Now Offering Refunds
Valve have finally decided to allow gamers to get refunds on purchases made through Steam. Best of all, it can be for any reason. However, there are conditions before going ahead and try to get a refund on all those awful games you bought on sale.
Much like any refund policy there are conditions. The purchase has to be 14 days or less, and you've played for less than two hours of the game. If that meets the criteria and you want a refund, you can create a request via their help page - help.steampowered.com
Refunds are not just for owned games. Valve have also detailed refunds on other purchases made through Steam as well. Which includes: Refunds on DLC - as long as it's not consumable, pre-purchased games, Steam Wallet - as long as not spent and bundles - which has the same game purchase and DLC purchase refund rules.
The times when you can't refund on Steam; is if you've got a VAC (Valve Anti-cheat system) ban on the game your trying to refund, movies - can't be refunded and neither can gifts - if the person you've gifted to has redeemed it.
All information is provided during checkout and if you wish to have the full details on their refund policy you can view them here.

This is the one thing that has been letting Steam down over the years, really pleased they have sorted it out now.
Maybe now publishers will think twice before releasing unfinished games?

Lots of people are happy about this, now that Arkham Knight is apparently released broken...

Tell me about it. Such a disappointment, but I can't get a refund cause I got it free with my new GPU. Otherwise I would of got Arkham Knight on PS4.
