State of Play February 2021 - Solar Ash Shows Off its Fast and Fluid Gameplay

Heart Machine, developer of the pixel art hit Hyper Light Drifter, gave players a deeper look at its upcoming title Solar Ash in today's Sony State of Play stream. Check it out above, and keep your eyes peeled: the game is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 this year.

Set in the same world as Hyper Light Drifter, this title builds upon its fast-paced, timing-based combat and translates it into a 3D space. The game's protagonist, Ray, dashes, glides and leaps through the game's surreal post-apocalyptic environments. Along the way, she'll face enormous beasts known as sentinels in epic battles, channelling the same fluid movement which helps her traverse the game's open environemnts into besting them in combat.

Solar Ash looks as beautiful as it is fast. Keep an eye out for it when the game releases for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2021.
