Stardew Valley Patch 1.6 is Out Now!

Stardew Valley, the beloved farming simulator and spelunking title by ConcernedApe, has received it's latest large update, and my it's a big one! Featuring multiple additional events, a new skill system, and even a new farm type, this update has spawned a multitude of new farms with eager farmers waiting to see whats in store.

The first major addition is the new farm type, the Meadowlands Farm. This chicken-lovers paradise offers both delicious blue grass that animals love, in addition to starting with a coop and two chickens. The beginning goals also mirror your farm, requiring eggs and other applicable resources instead of growing vegetables. Additionally, new dog and cat breeds have been added to choose from, in addition to some completely new pets (and being able to have multiple at once)!

The hundreds of lines of dialogue added are also joined by a new major festival, the Desert Festival, has been added and is accessible once the bus is fixed, in addition to two other mini events during the year. For the end-game enthusiasts out there, a new Mastery skill system has been added, along with some powerful perks and items. Finally, there are a veritable cornucopia of new crafting items, crops, furniture, and others simply waiting to be discovered!

If that was not enough, there are more changes than can be comfortably listed, containing visual improvements, multiplayer tweaks, quality of life boosts, much more. If you haven't played the game before, now may be a good time, and if you have, it may be an even better time to put that farmer's hat on!
