Starcraft II DLC Begins This Month

Now that all three parts of Blizzard’s Epic space-based strategy title, StarCraft II have been released, the gaming behemoth aren’t resting on their laurels. The game will be seeing a series of add-on packs for the single player campaign entitled Nova Covert Ops. Like the main game, the DLC will be split into three parts, to be released over the course of the year. Overall, there will be nine missions spanning the three different packs.

Interestingly, the DLC is standalone, meaning that it doesn’t matter if you don’t own StarCraft or StarCraft II, you can just purchase and jump right in to Nova Covert Ops if you want to. If you do own StarCraft II though and you pre-purchase the complete DLC bundle, then you will get a skin for your Ghost units.

In the first mission pack of Nova Covert Ops, you will play as November “Nova” Terra, the Dominion’s most powerful Ghost. As Nova, you’ll undertake assignments that are as dangerous as they are vital to the survival of the Dominion: infiltrating enemy bases, intercepting planetary invasions, leveraging experimental technology, and even more top-secret operations.
