Star Wars: Battlefront Details

Star Wars: Battlefront Details

Star Wars: Battlefront, EA and DICE's return to the series, received its first full length trailer over the weekend at Star Wars Celebration in California.

News came in dribs and drabs from the various conferences, but with them now officially over, here is everything we now know about Star Wars: Battlefront.

  • There will be no single-player campaign, instead a series of missions available on your own, online or through local co-op.
  • Boba Fett and Darth Vader are playable as well as the Millennium Falcon.
  • Gameplay will be set to four planets; Tatooine, Hoth, Endor and Sullust.
  • Owners will receive free DLC on 8th December. This will be called The Battle of Jakku and bridges the gap between Return of The Jedi and The Force Awakens. Owners who pre-order will receive it one week in advance.
  • There will be no aerial battles in space, dogfights featuring X-Wings and TIE Fighters will take place within the atmosphere.

It was also confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront will be released on 17th November, the date that had been previously leaked. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

I'm guessing this is the reaction to 'No campaign'?

Not too bummed about the campaign, really, since my priorities as a gamer have shifted since I was 12/13. But no space battles? Really? They were so cool in Battlefront 2.

I'm the opposite, although what they've described sounds like Destiny, so if it's like that, I'll be happy. I think they've said that alot of people didnt like the Space battles becuase it was endless flying in a circle lining up enemies.
