Star Wars: Battlefront Closed Alpha Starts Next Week

EA and DICE are doing a closed alpha for the massively anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront for PC.

Invites are already going out; so check your emails! If not, you can head onto the Star Wars: Battlefront site to sign-up for your chance to partake. You can sign-up between now and June 30th. 

The Alpha is only for PC and if you've got yourself an invite, you can start pre-loading the alpha on July 1st and start playing on July 2nd. Bare in mind that the alpha isn't simply your early chance to play, EA have stated the following in regards:

"the purpose of the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha is to perform a number of technical tests that will help the team at DICE as they continue the development of the game." 

The Alpha is under NDA, If you get an invite, you aren't allowed to share footage - much like all previous Alpha's EA and DICE have done with the Battlefield series.

Make sure your PC also meets the following requirements as well to play. Keep in mind that these aren't the final system requirements:

• CPU: Quad Core CPU e.g. Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.8 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
• RAM: 6 GB
• OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required)
• Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 with 2 GB of Video Memory

Star Wars: Battlefront releases on 20th November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
