Star Trek: Bridge Crew - The Next Generation Expansion Now Available

Ubisoft recently announced that the newest expansion for Star Trek: Bridge Crew, focusing on the exploits of The Next Generation series, is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR, is now available, with a PC version to come on 24th July, 2018.

The new expansion, titled simply The Next Generation, allows players to continue to boldly go on all new adventures and missions inspired by the adventures of the Galaxy-class starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Players will match their battle mettle against enemies including the merciless Romulans and, of course, the infamous Borg.

Along with new adventures and new enemies, players will also take on a new role: Operations. Operations Officers are tasked with crew strategy and management, which will allow them to modify the Enterprise's capabilities with features like Shield Modulation, Precision Targeting and additional abilities to combat cloaked ships, which is sure to come in handy against the crafty Romulan foes.

Finally, two new modes are also being added to the game with this new expansion: Patrol and Resistance. Patrol mode, as its name implies, keeps the game fresh by challenging players to travel along new routes and challenge unpredictable battles and objectives. Resistance mode is a high-level, high-skill mode in which players will complete a series of mounting objectives leading up to a climactic showdown against the Borg.
