Star Traders 2 RPG Kickstarter Launch

As we mentioned, Trese Brothers Games today launched a Kickstarter - and in the hour since it began, it has already gotten over $1,500 from 20 backers.

The Kickstarter is to fund their next title - a sequel to the hit title Star Traders RPG. We can call it a hit, because the reviews on the Play Store have it at 4.7 out of 5, which has remained pretty steady since it came out in 2010.

So what can you expect from Star Traders 2 RPG?

• Space and planetary exploration - control the ship, land on a planet and control a squad.
• Procedurally generated sandbox galaxy, mixed with authored content.
• Modular upgrades to your ship.
• Trade hundreds of goods across sectors filled with friends, enemies and cosmic storms.
• Cross-platform multiplayer (as a stretch goal)
• A universe inspired by Dune, Firefly and other sci-fi greats.

• For as little as $5 you can get a copy of the game on PC, Mac, Android or even iOS.
• Your name in the credits from $10 onwards.
• Wallpapers and boosts from $15 up.
• Back $100 for your Captain from Star Traders RPG making an appearance in the lore (ancient hero, tale of an old fool or simply rumours - it's up to you!)
• Want to design a famous Captain who appears in the game? $500 and that dream can be yours!
• The top tier even lets you create a quadrant - $2,000 and people will be playing a section you created from stars down to people.
