Star Traders 2 Kickstarter at Halfway & Updates

The Kickstarter for Star Traders 2 is in full swing, with just over 50% of it's total raised and 16 days left. And just like their constant interaction with fans, the Trese boys have been posting regular updates and listening to fan feedback. They have rejigged the rewards due to feedback, so check the graphics as well as the sidebar.

Andrew Trese recently held a Reddit Ask Me Anything where he shared the secrets of getting an Android game to 4.7 stars and above, among many other things.

Having reached 500 Shares and Retweets, a series of Social Rewards were released including wallpapers and the theme tune.

They have detailed the Motivation Engine, which allows your crew - and everyone you meet - to grow and evolve depending on your interactions with them.

They held a little contest to see which houses get the most love, with an eye on giving them boosts in updates to the original Star Traders and Star Traders 4X.

They have detailed why you should want to back at the $50 tier and get into the Alpha stage (as well as revealing the winner to the previous point).

There is even a comprehensive rundown of the new ship design mechanic, allowing you to customise the inside of your ship as well as install general upgrades like in the original game.

Finally, you can vote for Star Traders 2 on Steam Greenlight, on there early so it can be released in Q4 2015 like other versions.
