Square Enix Reveals Roadmap To Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker
The recent FanFest for Final Fantasy XIV may have focused on the upcoming expansion, Endwalker, but that's not all the team had to reveal. Speaking in the recent Letter from the Producer LIVE stream, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida detailed some of the content coming to the game between now and the release of Endwalker.
Patch 5.55 is planned to release on 25th May, bringing additions to the main scenario questline, YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse and Save the Queen questlines. This update also marks the start of official support for the PlayStation 5 version of the title.
Beyond this update, players can look forward to a number of different updates and events that will run between the release of Patch 5.55 and the release of Endwalker. In July, the Make It Rain in-game event will return, with Patch 5.57 and Patch 5.58 releasing between June and August. Players can also look forward to the Moonfire Faire and The Rising in-game events in August as well. Finally, in September players can enjoy the return of the Final Fantasy XV collaboration event.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is set to release on 23rd November, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Mac.
