Spider-Man Becomes Fastest Selling UK Game of 2018

Marvel's Spider-Man has become the fastest selling game of 2018 in the UK according to GFK, outpacing not only God of War but other multiplatform games, a particularly impressive feat when you consider that this is a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

It topples Far Cry 5, which was the previous record holder, even though it launched on all platforms. This means that Spider-Man is now the best selling Marvel game of all time, beating LEGO Marvel Super Heroes which did hold this title.

Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight is still the fastest selling superhero game in the UK this generation, which released in 2015. Again, this was also released on more platforms, and it's prudent to remember that digital sales are much more prevalent now than they were then - and digital sales are not taken into consideration with GFK's charts.
