Spend Less Time Fighting Rats with Amnesia: The Bunker’s Accessibility Patch
Frictional Games has kicked off 2024 with a major accessibility patch for its latest instalment in the Amnesia series, Amnesia: The Bunker. If you’ve encountered problems with the camera motion, hard-to-hear dialogue, or very aggressive rats, you’ll now have various options to improve your experience.
This patch has also arrived alongside a slew of bug fixes as well, such as a better storage box UI and fewer issues with achievements not popping.
All Accessibility Features in Amnesia: The Bunker
- Closed Captions: Enables subtitles that convey audio-based information that might be hard to hear.
- Subtitle Directional Indicators: Renders directional arrows on relevant subtitles.
- Reduced Camera Motion: Reduces camera motion that can trigger nausea.
- Video Distortion Effects: Enable or disable effects that can trigger nausea.
- Aim Assist: Assists your aiming with a weapon by pulling your reticle towards targets.
- Weapon Sway: Enable or disable weapon sway when aiming a weapon and moving the camera.
- Reduced Enemy Perception: Makes enemies much less likely to detect the player.
- Non-Aggressive Rats: Determines whether rats can track and attack the player or not.
The following six inputs can also be switched from Hold to Toggle, depending on your preference:
- Physics Interaction Mode
- Sprint Mode
- Aim/Use Item Mode
- Reload Weapon Mode
- Charge Flashlight Mode
- Check Health Mode
