Speedrunners 2: King of Speed Revealed; Watch the Trailer Here!

For those who might be unfamiliar with tinyBuilds' SpeedRunners, it's a multiplayer running game where four players will go head-to-head (online or locally) in a cut-throat race, using all sorts of widgets and weapons to knock their opponents out of the way. The game, which was developed by DoubleDutch Games, has received a 94% Very Positive score on Steam with over 22,000 reviews at the time of writing since its release back in 2016.

Now, tinyBuild has announced the sequel, SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed; this entry will be developed by Fair Play Labs (known for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl). The competitive chaos is back but bigger and better: improved graphics and double the players, with up to eight now.

Here's what you can expect from SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed:

• High-definition graphics.
• Maps inspired by the 1960s' retrofuture superhero utopia.
• A cast of eccentric and colourful superheroes, with returning and new characters.
• Improved netcode for a smoother platforming experience.
• Devious weapons and gadgets to knock opponents off the screen, like traps, missiles, and freeze rays.
• Accessible gameplay.
• Leaderboards to climb.
• Private lobbies.
