Space Crew Release Date Trailer
What comes after air travel? Space travel of course! At least, that's the progression that developer Runner Duck has taken in creating Space Crew, the sequel to 2017's real-time strategy air combat title, Bomber Crew. Releasing 15th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, Space Crew is launching the familiar Bomber Crew formula through the stratosphere. Check out the release date trailer above.
Just like in Bomber Crew, this title will see players taking control of a ship captain (coincidentally, the "great, great, great, great, great" grandson of the original game's captain), enlisting a crew and choosing a ship. From there, a series of dangerous missions will put their planning and strategic skills to the test against various galactic dangers. Okay, aliens, mostly.
Space Crew is strongly influenced by Star Trek, most notably The Next Generation as is illustrated by the trailer's bald-headed captain and not-so subtle title reference ("recruit the next generation", huh? Interesting choice of words). Still the sci-fi references don't feel out of place: this is clearly a game with its tongue firmly planted in its cheek. Don't be surprised to see the odd gag or two as you order your crew around your space vessel, fighting off hostile aliens and completing missions.
Space Crew releases 15th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
