Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announce PlayStation’s partnership with Discord, set for early next year.
what to look forward to in 2022:

Playstation Discord
Those lucky few who have managed to get their hands on PlayStation 5 will be most pleased! Many players have found the social experience thus far unacceptable.
Stupid Playstation 5 made it so much harder to create parties and chat with people including trying to find the people you want to chat with. You need a 'tutorial' (see post above) to do it. I can't even send invites to chat anymore. It's so backwards and broken. Should be easy!

Clearly, they have recognised the flaws and responded in kind. Discord hosts "6.7 million active servers", BusinessofApps reports accompanying the gaming community's exponential growth in recent years. With technological advancement equally soaring, Discord has seized the social platform for gamers. The news has already taken Twitter by storm with @PlayStation receiving more than 130K likes. The comments, while varied as is everything on social media, mostly reflect the potential of the partnership.
Better late than never, PlayStation. Here’s to an easier social experience! Keep an eye out on GameGrin for an exact release date of the merge.
